OcuAlign is a low-cost, 3D-printed smartphone adapter for slit lamp imaging, developed by the Ophthalmology Simulation Lab at McGill University. It allows clinicians to capture high-quality anterior segment images and videos directly through the slit lamp eyepiece using any smartphone, supporting clinical documentation, case sharing, and ophthalmic education.
The modular design fits a wide range of smartphones and standard slit lamp eyepiece diameters.
Printed in PLA matte.
Parts to print: lens holder ×1, U phone holder ×1, T phone holder ×1, puzzle pieces ×1, knob ×2.
For optimal printing and assembly results, position the T and U phone holder on the larger face (arms).
Fasteners needed: one 0.7×5×45 mm spring, two M5-0.8×25 hex screws, two M5-0.8×25 hex nuts.
Assembly Instructions:
1. Slide the U-shaped phone holder into the T-shaped phone holder.
2. Insert the 0.7 × 5 × 45 mm spring into the back channel.
3. Rotate the spring until it locks into position.
