Printing this finally fixed the artifacts I was having on the surface of my 3D prints.. Slight misalignment / poor manufacturing of the lead screw will cause the whole gantry to wobble slightly.. This coupling allows the lead screw to wobble in both X and Y, while still maintaining a tight Z tolerance.
