For my assignment, I have to create an optical illusion of an object that does not reflect in a mirror in an expected way. I created an ambiguous cylinder that looks like a curve on one side but looks different in the mirror. By using two functions one of which is view:<t,f(t),0> and mirror view: <t,g(t),0>, we can solve for our parametric curve: <r1(t), r2 (t), r3 (t)> = <t, (f(t) + g(t))/2,(f(t)-g(t))/2>
For my object, I tried to create an ambiguous cylinder that looks like a diamond in one view but appears to be a spade shape in the mirror.
Everything was done on Mathematica Wolfram and printed using Ultimaker S5.
