Standard Gridfinity layouts are usually restricted to orthogonal grids (like 3x3 or 4x4), which often leads to significant wasted space when you only need a specific number of bins (like 5, 11, or 17). This project breaks that limitation by leveraging mathematical research on "Square Packing in a Square." By using precise geometric translations and rotations, we’ve created high-density baseplates that fit more bins into smaller footprints than traditional grids allow. Key Features Space Efficient: Fits "awkward" numbers of bins into the theoretical minimum possible square area. Fully Compatible: Uses standard 1x1 Gridfinity "islands," so your existing bins will click right into place. High Quality: Models are rendered with high polygon counts ($fn=64$) for smooth, precise fitment. Open Source: Parametric OpenSCAD source files included for all layouts. Available Layouts Slots Size (mm) Improvement over Standard Grid 5 113.7 x 113.7 44% smaller footprint than a 3x3 grid. 10 155.7 x 155.7
