Polilog

Early on, Sarah and Nathaniel,encounter another creature. A sluggish creature, it moves along the ground on a layer of sweet smelling sap like material. Their bodies feel like and resemble that of tree bark, the leaves adding to the image.
Sarah is quick to point out that they almost look like tadpoles from home, and with that she names then polilogs.
They seem almost friendly, but do not like to be touched, she assumes they would run away but ultimately are too slow. They let out a high pitched insect like noise that is unbearable to stay near.
