Powered Knife Sharpener

I really like the rolling knife sharpeners, but they have some flaws, in my opinion. The biggest is with a knife with a bolster. Sharpening the portion of the blade in that location is tough, the rotation is minimal in this area. I decided that a rolling knife sharpener would benefit from a motor, so I added one. The most expensive part of the sharpener are the sharpening disks. I found this set on Amazon. Any disk with a 12mm x 1.5mm thread will work. This set goes to 6000 grit and will give you a frighteningly sharp knife. I ordered a 550 RPM motor. The motor turns the wrong direction, so solder the motor so the sharpening disk rotates clockwise.
