3030 printer upgrade

This is one of many solutions to upgrade a printer to full smooth rods and linear rails. I used a Wombot Exillis as the base for this design but it could be extended to any 3030 profile frame.

I have included the design files to make it easier to modify the design for your needs.

I have laid out the parts in groups of stl files.

All holes are designed to be opened up with a drill bit to the correct size.

I buy all my fixing hard ware by the box so i don't know the quantities of each so i will just list the sizes

M3 screws 6mm, 10mm 15mm 20mm 25mm 32mm
M3 nyloc nuts
M3 washers
M3 6mm Grub screws
M6 12mm socket head cap screws
M6 drop in nuts to suit 3030 extrusion
M6 grub screws 8mm
3mm self tappers 9mm long

6 500mm hardened rods, i cut them to suit and put flat spots on the ends for the grub screws to lock to

3 Lm10uu bearings
Gt2 6mm belt
