What do you do when you can't buy the Sony PSS-610 ceiling mount for your newly acquired projector? You print one!
This is a ceiling mounting bracket for the Sony VPL-AW15 and similar projectors. Print out the two brackets, use 1/4" lag bolts to secure the ceiling bracket to a ceiling joist. Purchase 1" threaded pipe from your local hardware store of the length that you want. Thread the pipe into the ceiling bracket and then thread the projector bracket onto the pipe. Use M5 screws to attach the projector to the mount. Use washers with all screws.
This part was created using Fusion360, editing McMaster-Carr files as described by Desktop Makes on YouTube on January 19th, 2018.
The ceiling bracket was printed with 60% infill from black PLA. I hung my full weight on this piece, expecting it to fail, but it did not.
