I found that there were plenty of balance bike options for my son, however, what I found seemed cumbersome (steel frames) or lacking what I felt would be a fun addition to day to day playing. Therefore, we have a full suspension, full carbon frame balance bike. The bike is very light and uses a combination of a custom frame and fork with off the shelf purchased items like seat, seat post, handlebar stem, fork bearings, and wheels (for now, some custom wheels are on the burner). The fasteners and shoulder bolts were ordered online as well.

The frame is printed with a 5% infill to keep it as light as possible, we only really need the printed frame sections to maintain the rough dimensions of the bike. The frame, chainstay, and fork are all wrapped in a combination of carbon sock weaves (listed in the consumables list) or quasi-isotropic tri-axial 300 gsm carbon weave. The tri-axial weave may be harder to source, I will provide a complimentary laminate definition for a 200 gsm mid-mod
