It's a PTFE/Bowden tube plug.
The stem tapers from 2.5mm to about 1mm to fit snugly in the tube. Even if your like me and open the end of your tubes with a hole punch reamer.
This file was not designed to accommodate shrinkage.
PLA shrinkage is about 2%
