This basic thing is a multifunctional bracket that picks up the spacing of the RPi and makes it into a external square mount.
this allows for a rotational axis allowing you to rotate the RPi to any other board with each 90degree.
I needed this on the touchscreen as seen on photo.
It can be used for far more than that.
it uses m2.5*8 on RPi and Touchscreen. And I had M3 standoff available.
