Relay socket and socket base for Princess Auto surplus relay SKU: 8825473 https://www.princessauto.com/en/detail/relay-120v/A-p8825473e
I used Princess Auto's sku 8234817 quick connect terminals minus the red heat shrink piece as terminals in my 3d socket. I used solid 14 awg wire from the terminals to the screw terminals on the base piece. I soldered the wire to the terminals. Assembly is rather fiddly but doable.
I used 2 x #6-32 x 1.25" screws to bolt both pieces down to a mounting location and 6 x #8-32 x .75" screws as the connection terminals in the base. I squeezed the curls of the terminals a bit, prior to insertion in the socket, to get a nice tight grip on the relay's tab.
Lateral holes through the socket are for strapping the relay down with a zip tie.
In future, I think I will replace the base part with a printed circuit board and some commercially acquired terminals to ease the assembly process.
Hope this is useful to someone.
