Rubilax is based on a character depicted in a popular animated series called "Wakfu." This 3D recreation captures the style and charm of the series, while making it easy to print one for display or functional use as part of a costume. Several characters wielded Rubilax, a shushu possessing a dagger, which could turn into a sword. The dagger is 210mm by default, but can be scaled up when slicing for use. Scale to 200% in the slicer to fit an adult / realistic scale. The grip is just over 100mm at 200%, which is ideal for an adult's palm.The model has been split into 6 pieces, which easily snap together to form the final prop. Print them in specific colors and materials to reduce the need to paint. The model has been test printed on a resin printer and FDM, as depicted in the attached images. Supports are necessary, but minimal surface marks will occur if oriented carefully. I'd suggest the default orientation if you are unsure.Print settings and Preferences- The design can be printed using any slicer and on any type of printer.- Print using at least 0.2mm on an FDM to avoid loss of detail.- When resin printing, default settings for your chosen material should be fine.- For resin printers, hollow out the grip and guard to save resin and to ensure these heavier elements will remain on the build plate.- The blade, grip, and guard should be printed vertically on an FDM to maintain details.- Supports are needed for some areas of most parts, but any marks can be sanded off.- When printing in resin, I tend to wet sand blemishes off.- I often set wall count to 2 or 4 and generally set overlap to 15 to 20%, especially when printing vertically, for better layer fusion.
