Dear @DispenserOfTheCubes,
It took me well over a year of fighting, failing, learning, and occasionally questioning my life choices over this little Victrola lid key. I first commented on your file back in January 2025, and now here we are in April 2026 with a finished part finally in hand.
I tried all kinds of settings and adjustments in PETG. I even tried PLA-CF and PETG-CF, but none of my printed versions held up the way I needed them to. So I turned my attention to learning CAD better than I knew it before.
I took your STL file and rebuilt it into a STEP file, and I honestly felt like I had conquered a small mountain. Then I found a service whose name sounds like “CBE Whey,” and they were able to 3D print the Victrola lid key in stainless steel 316L.
The stainless steel version came out beautifully, and your original file was epically on point. Huge gratitude for sharing your work with the community. This project taught me a ton, and your file made the whole thing possible.
