Shell Fish

An odd littlle figurine thing which looks part sand-dollar, part-urchin, part-fish, with echoes of trilobite...

It's from old 3d art of mine. I liked the shape and was curious whether the Makerbot 2X could print it. So I converted the mesh to STL and fed directly into Makerware. I like it... It gets a bumpy 'natural'-looking surface atop it. As usual, the red plastic photographs badly.

It's so thin it's practically 2D art. It won't take much plastic or time on whatever setting you pick. I'm not sure if the underside will print right without rafts+supports.
