Slinky Surprise - Easter

Inside the enclosed slinky is a decorative Easter egg dangling from the top. The model prints as one piece, with supports used to keep the egg in place during printing. The layer height is set to 0.15mm to make it easier to separate the layers of the coil. Layer heights up to 0.2mm can be used to print the model faster at the expense of making it harder to separate layers. The hardest part of separating the layers is initially getting the dividing tool between two layers. Using a box cutter can help with this, but be careful. Once there is a small separation between two layers, the rest will separate easily, and I use a bed scraper for this. Once the coil layers are separated, you can remove the support material around the egg with needlenose pliers. If you want to hang the egg from the coil cap, there are holes to glue a piece of fishing line between the cap and the egg. Glue the string to the cap first.
