Soap Lab

SoapLab is not born with the idea of being a commercial product but as an awareness project towards the reuse of exhaust oil.
The value of the project lies in fact in the possibility of being able to create something useful like soap from a commonly used material that once used becomes a polluting waste.
The kit, therefore, aims to give people a motivation not to throw away the cooking oil in the drains or in any case not to have the trouble of having to collect it and take it to the dump.
In order for this project to be adopted by as many users as possible, it was necessary to find a solution that could be easily and widely disseminated as well as being as accessible as possible, both in practical and economic terms.
The ideal solution in this sense is represented by self-production through digital fabrication. In the last decade,​ there has been a widespread diffusion of digital manufacturing technologies, which have become more accessible to a greater portion of the public.
