Spherical Spring

This spring is a test of my printer capabilities, and my skill in using it. So far I have not printed a good enough model to display or use as a part of a mechanism.

Perhaps some expert on here can instruct me on how to print it or give me a better design to work with.

Once I get a good enough model, I would like to use it as a balance spring for a gyrotourbillon. :-)

It seems the best model comes from cutting the spring into halves, print with support then use glue to connect the two halves.
