Spirachool

This is for the Awesome Sauce Design Competition http://www.solidsmack.com/contests/solidsmack-awesome-sauce-design-contest I've had this concept rattling around my head for a while now and I'm so happy that I've offloaded it somewhere worthwhile, it's a Spiralling chair that converts into a bar/bench stool, hence the name :) I was thinking a combination of formed and cast aluminium, the seat cushion leather of course, I also tried to give it an engineered feel, because we love engineering, right!? You've just moved into an apartment and there's a kitchen with a breakfast bar, you're thinking you'd like a table as well for the card nights you're going to have when the boys come over, but your limited for space, solution ? the Spirachool ;) Modelled in MoI because it's a great piece of software for quick flowing conceptual design.
