This is the original 32 (ID) x 53 (OD) straight spool adapter designed by [wstein](https://www.thingiverse.com/wstein/designs) but then split into two parts that can be joined by clicking them together.
Some filament spools (e.g. TPU) I do not run from a [dry box](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4682691) as I do not want to push them through a bowden tube but rather directly into my direct drive extruder. So I put the spool on my Ender 3 spool holder.
But I always found the spools to not unwind as well on a spool holder. And then especially with TPU, I don't want to introduce any stretching while feeding the filament into my extruder. So I wanted to use one of the adapters I already run in my dry boxes to make the spools unwind better. As the Ender 3 spool holder has some kind of rim at the ends, the spool holders don't fit over them, so I split them into two in order to use them on there.
