Spring Machine

A tool used to form springs.

I needed some springs for a project and started looking on the internet to see how to make them. Too much danger for me. Turning spring wire on a drill press over a mandrel seems like a bad idea, plus it was not repeatable. Other possibilities required me to buy an engine lath with threading capability. Spending a few thousand dollars for a $10 project seemed a bit much.

This tool is repeatable, easy to use and a pretty quick print. Both pieces about 1.5 hours.
