Beautiful Flexible Starfish! Each arm is in 4 segments with hoop joints, allowing rotational movement side to side and up and down. I've made the joints as chunky as I can to allow the model to be scaled down to smaller sizes. I designed this for the articulated animals contest. If you like the model, I'd really appreciate it if you could give it a like, or a boost. Revisions:As the design has progressed, I've worked on increasing it's flexibility and printability at small scale, but better joint mobility changes the feel of the model and also comes with an aesthetic cost. I've left some previous versions in, so you can decide for yourself where the best balance is. As the version numbers increase, the joints become more open and more mobile.I've worked quite hard to ensure the joints remain strong, so this design scales down really well, especially in the later versions. Printing:This is an easy print!Prints fine down to 33% scale with 0.4mm nozzle. This makes it a really quick print, though obviously it's tiny.The joints can also take a bit of freeing up when you print it really small.I'd suggest printing at lowish temperature and with cooling fans running to help with the overhangs.0.2mm layers is OK, you'll get a
