The Bastard 3D Printer

Born in the gutter of used spools and scrap filament yarns his only desire to look in the eye proprietary and more expensive machines. As his name indicates his DNA combines various printer components and designs refining the best for his purpose. While this project started as an am8 upgrade reusing mostly hardware from the "low-average" anet a8, with open build linear extrusion as standard, was enriched with open build wheels on all 3 axes.
Thanks to sonnylowe of Folgertech for his x axis design his original was redesigned to allow a more modular shoulder.
Y axis was made exclusively from ground up. X carriage was also a prototype. Z axis was a redesign by thaug29 (many thanks)

Because best value for price was in the mind, x carriage and z plates were made out printable instead of buying the openbuild mini plates. Sadly anet A8 hot end with it's low performance had to go, was rep
