Time2Wake clock

My son just turned 3 years old and my wife has asked me to get a time to wake clock like this:


Basically it glows green when the child can get out of bed and red when they can't, but for $40 i though "nope!"

So being a maker and always liking to make things more complicated for myself i did, first i dug out an old android phone that has been in the drawer for 2 years plus ("told you it would come in handy").

I started with the app, (i am not an app developer) this was done in MIT app developer 2, and took a while.
