I wanted to try a kit card but wanted it to do something. So here is a kid card windmill. Its split into two single color cards and one multi-color for the fan blades. For every input rotation the output turns 8 times. You can reverse the gear train if you want a slow moving windmill Assembly:Its pretty straight forward but here are some pics to helpStep one:Attach retaining rings to one side of all shafts.Note: 2nd longest shaft goes at top for FanStep 2:Insert cross beams and cap onto the left and right sideStep3:Insert shaft thru drive gear and both sides and secure into place with retaining ring. Don't secure to tight to or it will hinder gear movement. Leave one side long so you can attach the handle.Step 4:Work your way up the gear train for the next 3 shafts. These are double helical gears so they wont slide together and with mesh only one way. If its not meshing just flip it over. I found it easiest to place the gear on top the lower one and insert the shafts as shown belowGear
