Hi everyone!
This project is an example of the possibility of creating 3D objects from laser cuts, giving a professional and striking finish due to the wood used.
This design is a buildable lantern consisting of 56 laser cut pieces and 7 3D printed pieces. It has an approximate height of 251 mm (9.9 in), a width of 115 mm (4.5 in) and a depth of 115 mm (4.5 in)
On flies, yellow lines are for engraving.
I do not have a laser cutting machine, so the cut and assembled design could not be shown. However, the shapes are provided through a tolerance analysis between the joints using CAD software.
3D prints are made to materialize the designs using an Ender 3 V2 printer.
Materials:
Laser cuts:
MDF 2,5 mm
Acrylic 3mm (For translucent acrylic, use only CO2 laser machines)
3D Prints:
PLA
Disclaimer:
In the render, the base has some designs to be engraved on the MDF that are not found in the DXF or DWG files. These designs were generated using the tool https
