Turbulators are usually placed on the wing surface, around 30% distance from the edge, to decrease drag turning laminar flow into a turbulent one thus breaking stagnant air bubbles on the separation point.
The one here is a zig-zag 60° x 4cm side turbulator strip usually employed on gilders but it shows great performance on other models too. It can be fit onto models from 1m to 3m wingspan and on a sailboat keel too.
Thickness can vary from 0.4 to 0.6mm depending on the model size. Simply configure the 3D printer to print multiple layers. The strip can be easily joined, it's size can fit most printers' aviailable area.
