I am using this bracket to hold a hefty light on the underside of a cabinet.
I used #6 1.25" wood screws to secure the bracket to the 0.75" plywood pictured. The screw is countersunk but also lifted away from the plywood, preventing the 1.25" screw from breaking through the other side.
There is a hole that is 0.5" across on the hook/platform piece so that a drill bit or screwdriver can get to the countersunk mounting screw.
