USB Microscope Mount

This USB Microscope Mount replaces the original stand of common LCD-style USB microscopes with a much more flexible and practical solution. The stock base that comes with these microscopes typically only allows vertical movement and limits how much clearance you have under the lens. This makes it difficult to work on larger objects or position the microscope freely. This design solves that problem by repurposing a clamping desk lamp arm. The original lamp head is removed and replaced with this custom mount, which attaches using the same peg-and-clamp interface. The result is a fully adjustable arm that allows you to position the microscope anywhere across your workspace with significantly improved height and reach. The microscope (nominal Ø40 mm body) slides into a 41 mm bore and is secured using two integrated 3D printed set screws. These allow you to firmly lock the microscope in place or leave it slightly loose for easy rotation and positioning. No additional hardware is required —
