On the Vector 3 3D printer is very difficult to get the bed levelled. We need something that is going to take a lot of the guess work out of it.

This was inspired when someone put up a video if a dial gauge being used to level the bed of another larger 3D printer (CR10) and said that it would be nice if the Vector 3 had this facility.

Well now it is. There is not enough space to piggy back the extruder head on the Vector 3 so I chose to make a two part bracket to clamp to the extruder head mount and reduce the print time.

The gauge chosen has an 8 mm shaft.

4 M3 * 10mm nuts and bolts are required to build this.

The dial back was a replacement for the one that came with the dial gauge. Which has a bracket on its back.

The 16 way male IDC connector has a 100K Ohm resistor soldered between pins 5 and 6 to fool the firmware into believing that the extruder head is alive and well @ 25 C

You attach it in place of the extruder head and if you wish you can use it under s
