So based on a variety of reasons (too long to go into here) I opted to build a UConduit frame mostly due to it's cost and how easy it is to modify to be an enclosed printer (for ABS etc).
This is largely due to my dislike of all the extra finishing effort and brittleness of PLA as the printer I am currently using (a Robo R1) doesn't seem to like to print in anything BUT PLA.
