# Modular Cable Case System
This is a simple set of modular cable cases. It consists of a case and a modular base, which can be used to set up the cases on a table, shelf, or larger box. To fix the base plates together, you can use **5 mm ball magnets**, **M3x16 hex screws**, or simply **superglue** the bases if you prefer a fixed configuration.
---
## 📐 Base Case Dimensions
- **Width:** 40 mm
- **Height:** 120 mm
- **Depth:** 25 mm
> The modular base adds **5 mm** to each side.
---
## 🗂 File Naming Convention
**`file_name_XdYw`**
This means the case has:
- **Depth** = `X × 25 + 10 × (X - 1)` mm
- **Width** = `Y × 40 + 10 × (Y - 1)` mm
---
## 📁 File Descriptions
- **`flat_case_top`** – Case lid without recess.
- **`case_top`** – Case lid with recess, which can be used for marking cables (e.g., embossed tape or a piece of paper).
- **`case_bottom`** – Bottom part of the case.
- **`magnetic_modular_base`** – Base with holes for **5 mm ball magnets**.
