A simple USB-C powered LED lamp to connect with the modular mounting system. It's a great hobby light when working with small parts or soldering. Works with any 2amp 5V brick or battery bank.
It was desiged based on parts I had on hand, and I am an absolute novice with circuitry, so any advice with optimization is welcomed.
I painted the top (interior) face of the base with craft paint to reduce light diffusion through the top, but that might not be necessary with more pigmented filaments.
Additional parts needed:
- 10mm x 15mm rocker switch (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082S7KRPG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1)
- MT3608 DC-DC booster (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089JYBF25?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1)
- USB-C female socket (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WCSF8FC?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details)
- LED light strip (mine was 5 years old, and all I know is it takes 10V input)
- 24awg wire
- 4 x M3x5mm bolts
