A project I'm working on (see [WDC-1](https://hackaday.io/project/168833-wdc-1-a-working-digital-computer)) requires 80+ indicator lights to be mounted on a console. Digi-Key has some for as low as $.60, which is not bad, but I didn't like the look of them for my project (which is a vintage computer). So I decided to "roll my own".
The sockets are designed for 3 mm stand alone LEDs. I had some nice super bright white ones on hand. The picture above does not do justice to the nice look of these lamps when lit.
