Like most folk using Arduino-powered 3D printers, having installed Octoprint on a Raspberry Pi and connected it, I was faced with the irritating problem of the USB port powering the printer. This is one solution.
Yes, there area already a hundred solutions, some using sticky tape, but I never liked the wheel. I think it's a silly shape and I enjoy reinventing it.
So, I cut my USB cable, soldered in a DIL 4-way switch and printed up a little project box.
I can now switch off the positive supply rail to my printer's USB port.
